One workspace for your spending history
Pyramid Budget brings statement imports, transaction review, labels, monthly budgets, and spending insights into a single private workspace. Start with an imported statement or add transactions yourself, then use labels and rules to keep your records useful over time.
The sections in the app share the same confirmed transaction history. Updating a transaction or its label changes the information used by budgets and insights.
How statement processing works
Imports support PDF, PNG, JPEG, and CSV statements. A file is uploaded using a short-lived upload link and queued for processing. Structured CSV files are parsed locally; PDFs, images, and irregular CSV files use document extraction and analysis services.
- 01UploadYour file is sent for processing.
- 02Prepare a draftExtracted rows are staged for review.
- 03Review and confirmEdit, label, or remove rows before saving.
Review drafts expire after seven days. The original statement file is removed after successful processing; remaining uploads are also covered by the storage lifecycle policy. The import view shows processing status and review progress.
Transactions, labels, and matching rules
Confirmed transactions appear in the ledger, where you can search, filter, sort, edit, and add entries. Labels group transactions into categories that make budgets and reports easier to understand.
AI automatically labels transactions during an import when it can identify a category confidently. For unclear merchants, create a matching rule to tell Pyramid Budget which label to use. For example, once you have an “Internet” label, add a rule that matches descriptions containing “Oxio” and assigns that label. Matching rules can use a description phrase, an amount range, or both. You can review or change labels before confirming an import.
Deleting a label removes its rules and clears that label from related transactions and budget allocations. The transactions themselves remain available for review.
Budgets and insights
Budgets let you set monthly estimates by label and compare each estimate with actual spending. Actuals include positive transactions in the selected currency; refunds and credits are excluded from budget spending totals.
Insights summarize spending over a selected period and currency. Views break activity down by label, merchant, and month, with comparisons to a previous period when available. Selecting a result can take you back to the matching transactions.
Accounts and data handling
Your privacy is a fundamental commitment: Pyramid Budget never sells your data or accesses your personal finances beyond what is strictly required to deliver its features. We request only essential information, and access to your records is isolated and scoped to your authenticated account.
Uploaded statement files are processed solely to prepare your import and are never kept as an archive. Source files are deleted immediately after successful processing; any remaining unprocessed uploads automatically expire through a 24-hour storage lifecycle policy (deletion may take slightly longer). Extracted draft transactions remain available for review for up to seven days, then expire and are permanently purged if unconfirmed or undiscarded.
Deleting data in Pyramid Budget is a permanent hard delete that erases records from active systems and cannot be undone.
